Revolution announce schedule for remainder of 2020 regular season

DL - Schedule Final Dates

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution’s schedule for the remainder of the Major League Soccer’s 25th season was revealed today. Nine additional games have been added to the Revolution’s slate, highlighted by four home games, the club’s first-ever meetings with Nashville SC, and a Decision Day showdown against the Philadelphia Union on Sunday, Nov. 8. In total, New England has 11 games remaining on its regular-season schedule, including its two previously announced games against Montreal on Sept. 23 (5:00 p.m. ET) and D.C. United on Sept. 27 (7:00 p.m. ET), both of which will air locally on NBC Sports Boston.

Among the nine games added to the Revolution’s schedule are four home matches and five away matches, including three dates at Red Bull Arena – where New York City FC (Oct. 11), Montreal Impact (Oct. 14), and the New York Red Bulls (Oct. 28) will all serve as hosts against the Revs. With Canadian MLS teams gaining approval to play in the United States, New England will also host Toronto FC on Oct. 7 in a rematch of the MLS Is Back Tournament group stage. In addition, New England will face Nashville SC for the first time ever at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 3, before visiting the expansion side at Nissan Stadium on Oct. 24. The Revolution’s regular season will conclude at Subaru Park on Decision Day, where the club will face the Philadelphia Union for the fifth time this season across all competitions. Through 12 games, New England currently sits in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a 3-3-6 record (15 pts.).

All of the Revolution’s remaining games will be televised locally on NBC Sports Boston with Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies calling the action. Games also air locally on the radio at 98.5 The Sports Hub, with Portuguese commentary available on WBIX 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA. Wednesday’s home match against Montreal will be available on 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2.

The Audi MLS Cup Playoffs will begin following Decision Day and again consist of single-elimination matches hosted by the higher-seeded team and follow a straight bracket format through MLS Cup on Dec.12. As previously announced, in an expansion of the postseason for 2020, 18 clubs will compete in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs. Eight teams from the 12-team Western Conference will qualify directly to Round 1. The top six seeds from the 14-team Eastern Conference will qualify directly to Round 1. Eastern Conference seeds 7-10 will each compete in a play-in match (No. 7 vs. No. 10, and No. 8 vs. No. 9) to determine the two additional Eastern Conference teams that will qualify for the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs Round 1.
