FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (November 2, 2026) – Midfielder Logan Azar has been selected as the 2025-26 New England Revolution Academy Player of the Year. Azar, a 16-year-old from Hudson, Mass., becomes the 12th different recipient of the honor, awarded annually by the Revolution Technical Staff to the most exceptional amateur talent developing in the club's Pro Player Pathway.

Azar was presented with the award by Rob Becerra, Revolution Director of Methodology and Youth Development, at halftime of New England's home match against Inter Miami CF on Sunday night, in front of over 50,000 fans at Gillette Stadium.

"Logan is a shining example of how quickly a young player can progress with hard work, belief, and dedication,” said Becerra, also head coach of the Revolution Under-16s. “By making the most of his opportunities in our pathway, Logan earned his professional debut with Revolution II this season and gained valuable experience in his development. Logan is truly deserving of this honor, and we look forward to his continued growth, both as a player and as a person, in the years to come.”

After suiting up for his first appearance at the professional level with Revolution II in April, Azar proceeded to record 16 appearances, including 15 games started, for New England’s developmental team in MLS NEXT Pro. Azar helped Revolution qualify for the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs for the second consecutive season in 2026. He was one of five Revolution Academy products to feature in Revolution II’s Starting XI during their Quarterfinal Round match at Columbus Crew 2 on October 17.

Azar’s resume also includes a selection to represent New England in the 2026 MLS NEXT All-Star Game in July. He became the seventh Revolution Academy player to feature in the annual showcase and helped the East Team to a dominant 6-1 victory in North Carolina. At the youth level, Azar enjoyed a successful season with the Revolution Academy during the 2025-26 MLS NEXT campaign, tallying five goals and six assists with the Under-16s.

“I’m honored to be named the 2025-2026 Revolution Academy Player of the Year,” Azar said. “The support I’ve received from my coaches, teammates, and staff with Revolution II and the Revolution Academy has meant so much to me. I’d like to thank my family for always being by my side and Rob Becerra for always believing in me. Making my professional debut this year was a moment I’ll never forget, and I’m excited to continue representing the New England Revolution.”

The playoff-bound New England Revolution close their 2026 MLS regular season at Orlando City SC on Saturday, November 7.
