Giacomo Vrioni's first MLS brace has earned him a spot on the MLS Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for the first time, as the 24-year-old forward scored both goals in the Revolution's 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City this past Saturday night.

Vrioni's first goal came in the 31st minute, set up by Ema Boateng and Carles Gil. With the Revs building from the back, Gil sprang Boateng down the left wing to cross for Vrioni, who curled his run to the back post before coming across his defender to finish first time.

The second goal came just four minutes later and again it was Boateng getting down the left flank to play provider, pulling back a cross for Gil. After cutting past a defender Gil saw his right-footed shot saved, but Vrioni was in the right spot to follow up and bury the rebound for the eventual game winner.

Vrioni now leads the Revs with three goals on the season, all scored in the last three games, and he's one of five Revolution players to have scored multiple goals through the first nine games of the campaign.

The Revs now turn their attention to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday night, when they'll host Hartford Athletic (USL Championship) at Gillette Stadium in a Third Round showdown (streaming live HERE). League action resumes on Saturday night when the Revs will host FC Cincinnati in a top-of-the-table clash in Foxborough, with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV at 7:30 p.m. ET. The radio call will be available on 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA.
