RECENT FORM VS. ORLANDO CITY SC

New England have enjoyed recent encounters with Orlando – unbeaten in their last nine regular season meetings against the Lions (5-0-4), and claiming victory in November 2020’s playoff clash. The Revolution are undefeated against the Floridians in league action since September 2017. Emmanuel Boateng, Gustavo Bou and Carles Gil were on the scoresheet in June's most recent fixture at Gillette Stadium to earn a 3-1 triumph, as the club equaled its longest streak without a home loss to open a season. The Revs also netted three times in the last trip to Exploria Stadium, thanks to goals from Matt Polster, Wilfrid Kaptoum and Henry Kessler.

The Revolution (14-7-10, 52 pts.) head into Saturday’s matchup looking to bounce back from a midweek defeat to Columbus Crew, who snapped the hosts’ unbeaten home record in 2023 with a 2-1 win in Foxborough. The result saw New England slip to fifth in the Eastern Conference table with three regular season games remaining. Though their place in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs had already been secured, the Revs have sights set on claiming a top-four finish to clinch homefield advantage in the postseason tournament, and will hope to make their game in hand count, having played one match fewer than the current top four.

Orlando (16-7-9, 57 pts.) return to Exploria Stadium this weekend sitting in second place in the East, propelled by a fine run of form that has seen them win seven and draw two of their last ten league games. On the back of successive shutout victories over CF Montréal and Nashville SC, the Lions are three points clear of third-placed Philadelphia Union with two games to go. Inspired by their 2023 top scorer Facundo Torres and boasting the second-meanest defense in the East, Oscar Pareja’s side stand as one of the league’s in-form sides. Tallying 8-3-5 at home this term, they have proven tough to beat on their own patch and are looking to cement their status in second spot.

Facing three sides to have also already punched their playoff tickets in their final regular season games of 2023, the Revs travel to Orlando and then Nashville SC (October 14), before welcoming Philadelphia to Gillette Stadium on Decision Day (October 21).

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Saturday night the Revs will wear their "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform for the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.

The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
