Henry Kessler undergoes successful hamstring surgery, sidelined approximately four months

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution defender Henry Kessler underwent successful surgery to repair a right hamstring injury on Friday, April 21. Kessler will be in recovery for approximately four months. The procedure was performed at Massachusetts General Hospital by Dr. Scott Martin.

Kessler, now in his fourth MLS season with New England, started the first seven games of the 2023 season before exiting the April 8th home match vs. CF Montreal with the hamstring injury after the first half. In his Revolution career, the New York City native has made 79 league appearances, 72 starts, with four goals scored. 

The Revolution continue the MLS regular season tomorrow, Saturday, April 22 vs. Sporting Kansas City. The 7:30 p.m. match at Gillette Stadium is available to watch free on Apple TV in English and Spanish. Listen on 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA in Portuguese.
