ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2026) – The New England Revolution (18-12-4, 58 pts.) closed the 2026 regular season with a 1-0 defeat to Orlando City SC (13-14-7, 46 pts.) at Inter.co Stadium on Saturday. Orlando midfielder Braian Ojeda's 45th-minute stunner was the only goal in the MLS Decision Day contest between the two playoff-bound sides.

The Revolution finish the regular season as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference entering the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs. New England's 58 points represent the third-highest total in team history, while the 18 victories are second most in club annals. The Revolution will meet the Philadelphia Union (No. 6) in the best-of-three Round One series, hosting the first match and, if necessary, the decisive third match at Gillette Stadium. The Round One schedule is expected to be announced on Sunday.

New England came out on the front foot, creating a flurry of chances in the opening half. Defender Ilay Feingold, who made his 50th MLS appearance, doubled his previous single-game high with four shot attempts on the night, including three in the first half. His effort in the 11th minute took a deflection and fizzed just wide of the left post. He had another opportunity minutes later, but his volleyed attempt was again parried away by Orlando's defense.

Dániel Gazdag nearly opened the scoring for the visitors in the 28th minute, turning and unleashing a right-footed shot that forced Orlando goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau into a diving save. Minutes later, center back Ethan Kohler met a corner kick with a header that found its way on target, but Crépeau tipped the attempt over the crossbar. Kohler, who is one of three Revolution players set to join the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team during next week's FIFA window, finishes his first MLS season with 30 league appearances.

The hosts grabbed a 1-0 lead right before the break, as Ojeda collected a loose ball atop the box and curled a stinging shot beyond an outstretched Matt Turner in the 45th minute. After intermission, the Lions generated a string of chances, starting with Martín Ojeda's angled shot that narrowly missed the target in the 52nd minute. Antoine Griezmann then tested Turner from distance moments later.

In net for New England, Turner logged three saves as he became the first Revolution goalkeeper, and just the third player overall, to play every minute of a 34-game regular season. The MLS Goalkeeper of the Year contender finishes the season with 140 saves, second most in MLS as of the conclusion of Saturday's match. Captain Carles Gil, who played the first 60 minutes tonight, also finished the regular season with 34 starts, reaching the mark for the second straight year and third time in his career.

No. 3 New England is off next week during the November FIFA international window before hosting No. 6 Philadelphia Union to open the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs in a best-of-three Round One series.
