From the original 16 down to the final four, semifinal matchups are set as fans decide the New England Revolution's 2022 Goal of the Season. Adam Buksa, who departed for RC Lens in France's Ligue 1 early in the summer, has a strike in each semifinal, going up against finishes from Sebastian Lletget and Carles Gil. Voting is currently underway via the club's social media channels, with the semifinal matchups highlighted below.

Sebastian Lletget (FC Cincinnati, May 21) vs. Adam Buksa (FC Cincinnati, May 11)

Three of the four goals to reach the semifinals were scored against FC Cincinnati, including both in this semifinal matchup between a pair of players who departed New England in the summer. Lletget's stunning scissor kick in the memorable 3-2 win over FCC on May 21 may be perceived as the favorite, but it'll face a strong test against Buksa's curling effort that capped the scoring in the Revs' 5-1 win over Cincinnati in the U.S. Open Cup just 10 days earlier.

Adam Buksa (FC Cincinnati, May 21) vs. Carles Gil (LA Galaxy, August 28)

The 3-2 win over Cincinnati on May 21 was a night for bangers, as Buksa's clever backheel was scored just 26 minutes after Lletget's scissor kick in the other semifinal. The only goal in the semifinals NOT scored against Cincinnati came in late August, when Carles Gil (against the LA Galaxy) placed a perfect curling effort into the far upper corner to cap off a beautiful buildup that involved Noel Buck, Gustavo Bou, and Tommy McNamara.
