MLS IS BACK TOURNAMENT
After a four-month hiatus from league play, the MLS is Back Tournament is underway in Orlando. Each team will play three group-stage matches that will count towards the regular-season standings, and sides that advance to the knockout stage will vie to be crowned champions, earning a berth to the 2021 Concacaf Champions League.
Not to mention, the players will also be contesting for a piece of a $1.1 million pool of prize money based on results.
Following the Round of 16, the winners will advance to the quarterfinals and compete for an opportunity to vie for the title in the semifinals and final.
GROUP C STANDINGS
New England's 1-0 win over the Montreal Impact to kick off Group C play last Thursday night has them alone atop the Group C standings after the first round of games. D.C. United and Toronto FC are tied with one point apiece after playing to a wild 2-2 draw on Monday morning, as D.C. rallied from 2-0 down in the 86th minute (while playing with 10 men) to secure a remarkable result.
While the Revs will take on D.C. on Friday night, TFC and Montreal will square off in the Canadian Classique on Thursday evening.
RECENT FORM VS. D.C. UNITED
The New England Revolution will play their second match in Group C of the MLS is Back Tournament on Friday, squaring off against Eastern foe D.C. United. It will be the 86th all-time meeting between these two squads in all competitions, and a unique battle at a neutral venue at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
New England and D.C. met twice last season, playing to draws at both Gillette Stadium and Audi Field. The Revs have struggled against D.C. in recent years, as they've won just once in their last 11 meetings (1-5-5) dating back to 2015.

Last Meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 1, D.C. 1 (May 25, 2019)

Break out “The Colonial!"
The Revs will be sporting their sleek secondary kits, which take inspiration from uniforms the colonial generals wore in the Revolutionary War.
These jerseys sport a white front with light blue sides and sleeves, and are tied together with navy blue trim. The light blue sides continue to cover the back of the jersey, topped near the neckline with the classic image of the Flag of New England.
You can own "The Colonial" by visiting the Gillette Stadium Pro Shop, or clicking HERE.
