RECENT FORM VS. PORTLAND TIMBERS
This will be just the ninth overall meeting between the New England Revolution and Portland Timbers and the only showdown in the 2018 regular season.
The Revs and Timbers have drawn four of their last five meetings, with the only non-draw in the past five years coming in 2015 when the Timbers claimed a 2-0 win over the Revs in Portland. The last two matchups have both finished 1-1, last year at Providence Park and in 2016 at Gillette Stadium.
In the previous eight meetings the Revs have won just once – in Jay Heaps’ first game in charge back in March 2012 – but they’re also unbeaten against the Timbers at Gillette Stadium (1-0-3).
New England (29 points) and Portland (37 points) both currently sit in seventh place within their respective conferences. With both teams looking to move above the playoff line as the calendar flips to September, Saturday’s matchup will be critical.

The New England Revolution Charitable Foundation will be collecting new party supplies at Saturday’s match to benefit the Confetti Foundation, which provides birthday party kits for children who spend their birthdays in the hospital.
