FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (September 23, 2026) – New England Revolution II will begin their quest in the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs with a road match at Columbus Crew 2 on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Round match will kick off at 3:00 p.m. ET at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field and will stream live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
Revolution II, the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, was selected by No. 4 Columbus Crew 2 through MLS NEXT Pro's "Pick-Your-Opponent" playoff format. Matchups are determined through the Pick-Your-Opponent process for the first two rounds: the Conference Quarterfinals and Semifinals. This season, New England has matched up against Columbus three times. Revolution II collected points in two of the last three encounters against Crew 2, including a 2-2 draw on July 15 and a 1-1 draw on Sept. 13. New England and Columbus have met once in postseason play, with Crew 2 registering a 1-0 victory in the 2023 Eastern Conference Final.
New England will embark on its third postseason appearance in program history, having secured its second consecutive berth in the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. During the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro regular season, New England posted a 12-8-8 record and tallied 48 points under first-year Head Coach Pablo Moreira. Revolution II netted 47 goals this season, featuring 16 different goal scorers.
Forward/winger Myles Morgan headlined New England's attack this season, setting a club single-season scoring record with 14 goals- tied for fourth in this year's Golden Boot race. In his debut campaign with Revolution II, Morgan also etched his name into the club's history books by setting a new club record with a five-game scoring streak from Aug. 8 through Aug. 22. The Canada native also earned three MLS NEXT Pro Goal of the Matchweek honors during the regular season.
On the defensive end, New England limited opponents to 105 shots on target, fewest across the league. Revolution II's 10 clean sheets this season were tied for 10th most in MLS NEXT Pro. Center backs Gabe Dahlin and Jake Shannon anchored the backline throughout the campaign, ranking first and second on the team in minutes played, respectively. Dahlin logged a team-high 2,159 minutes played while starting all 24 appearances, and Shannon followed with 2,073 minutes played while pacing the squad with 38 clearances. Both defenders also contributed in the attack, scoring two goals each.
Additionally, the 2026 campaign also showcased the continued success of the club's Pro Player Pathway, with several Revolution Academy products making significant contributions. Homegrown midfielder Cristiano Oliveira enjoyed a standout season, leading the team with a career-high nine assists, which rank second most in a single season in team history. The Somerville, Mass. native also generated 52 key passes, tied for sixth most in MLS NEXT Pro. Midfielder Judah Siqueira, the Revolution's most recent Homegrown signing, contributed two goals and one assist in 11 starts.
Fellow Academy graduates Javaun Mussenden and Damario McIntosh posted career-high goal contributions, registering six (2g, 4a) and seven (2g, 5a), respectively. Academy forward Matthew Jean Baptiste was also one of New England's top attacking threats, as the 16-year-old scored five goals while adding two assists in 13 appearances.
