New England has cemented itself as one of the strongest road teams in MLS NEXT Pro this season, as Revolution II’s five away victories rank tied for third-most leaguewide. Revolution II have collected points in eight of their nine away matches, tallying a 5-1-3 road record thus far in 2026. Including Wednesday’s match at Inter Miami CF II, New England will conclude the 2026 regular season with five of its final six matches away from home.
On the other side, Wednesday’s hosts have registered points in just three of their nine homes games during the 2026 campaign. Inter Miami CF II collected their first win of the season at Nu Stadium just three weeks ago on July 25, a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC II. Since then, Inter Miami CF II have dropped three consecutive matches without scoring a goal. Inter Miami CF II are one of three teams in MLS NEXT Pro eliminated from postseason contention.
In New England’s most recent match, Revolution II fell short in a 4-3 defeat to Philadelphia Union II on Sunday night at Beirne Stadium. Sunday’s back-and-forth match saw Revolution II rally multiple times to erase three separate deficits, before Union II netted the winning goal in the 84th minute to snap New England’s five-match unbeaten streak. New England’s attack, which generated 28 shot attempts, featured goal-scoring performances from forward/winger Myles Morgan, defender Gabe Dahlin, and midfielder Cristiano Oliveira, who also tallied an assist.
Morgan continues to guide New England’s attack in his debut season with Revolution II. The 21-year-old logged season-highs in shots (9) and shots on target (5) in Sunday’s match. Morgan, who has scored four times over the last three matches, ranks tied for fourth in MLS NEXT Pro with 11 goals this season. The Canada native is two goals shy of matching former Revolution II forward Liam Butts (13) for the program’s single-season goals scored record, set in 2025. Morgan also ranks among league leaders in shots (4th - 70) and shots on target (6th - 28).
Oliveira, a Homegrown Player from Somerville, Mass., opened his 2026 account in Sunday’s contest. The 18-year-old midfielder now owns six assists this season, tied with midfielder Carlos Zambrano for the team lead, while his 39 key passes this season are seventh-best in the league. Oliveira finished Sunday’s contest, a full 90-minute performance, with 10 shot attempts, including four on frame. Oliveira, who made his MLS debut with New England’s senior team in May, enters the two-match week two appearances shy of reaching 50 games played for Revolution II.
On the defensive end, New England's 28 goals conceded are tied for fifth-fewest in MLS NEXT Pro. Goalkeeper Max Weinstein has started in net for seven of New England’s last 10 matches. The 22-year-old from Vermont posted a three-save outing over the weekend. Dahlin, a 22-year-old central defender, leads Revolution II in minutes played (1,620) and has contributed to the attacking end with two goals scored over the last four games. Defender Aarin Prajapati was one of three Revolution Academy products to record an assist on Sunday, along with midfielders Levi Katsell and Logan Azar, a 2026 MLS NEXT All-Star.
