RECENT FORM VS. PORTLAND TIMBERS
It's been more than three years since the Revs and Timbers last met in the 2022 season opener, when they played to a 2-2 draw in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, these sides have played to five consecutive draws dating back to 2016, including stalemates in each of the Revolution's last three visits to Providence Park. While the Revs have consistently picked up points on the road in Portland, they've never won there, going 1-2-8 all-time against the Timbers and 0-2-4 in Oregon.
The Revs (6-6-6, 24 pts.) closed out their three-game homestand with an historic result against the Colorado Rapids this past weekend, erasing a three-goal deficit to claim a point for the first time in club history with a 3-3 draw. While the stirring comeback offered reason for belief, it was mixed with frustration as the Revs secured just a single point from their homestand and remain 11th in the Eastern Conference standings. Now they'll need to rebound on the road, where they're 4-2-4 on the season and a remarkable 4-0-3 on their last seven trips outside New England.
Portland (8-5-6, 30 pts.) rode a three-game unbeaten run (2-0-1) into their visit to Toronto FC this past weekend, but saw that streak end in emphatic fashion with a 3-0 loss to TFC. While the Timbers have recently struggled away from home, they've been largely unbeatable at Providence Park, where they're 5-0-4 in their last nine games and haven't lost since their season opener against the Vancouver Whitecaps back in February.
Saturday night kicks off one of the Revolution's busiest stretches of the season, as they'll play five games in 15 days between July 5 and July 19, including vs. Inter Miami CF (July 9), at Austin FC (July 12), at New York Red Bulls (July 16), and vs. Orlando City SC (July 19).
Overall Record vs. Portland: 1-2-8
Away Record vs. Portland: 0-2-4
Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 1, Timbers 1 (September 1, 2018)
Last meeting at Providence Park: Revs 2, Timbers 2 (February 26, 2022)

Saturday night the Revs will wear the "Eastern White Pine" kit, which will serve as the club's Community kit for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Inspired by the Flag of New England on the 250th anniversary of its first use by New England colonies in the Revolutionary War, this is the first time in a decade that the Revs have paid homage to the historic Flag of New England in their kit design. While the Flag of New England has regularly been featured as a minor accent on the club's jerseys, the new kit's design iterates on past tributes by focusing on the Eastern White Pine featured on the flag.
This is the first season-long Revolution uniform to feature Forest Green as the leading color, accented by the club’s Heritage Blue, paired with white shorts and white socks.
