RECENT FORM VS. ATLANTA UNITED FC

This series has belonged to New England in recent years, with the Revs unbeaten in their last six meetings (4-0-2) with Atlanta United dating back to the 2021 season. That stretch includes three straight results at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (1-0-2), most recently a dramatic 3-3 draw last May. Carles Gil and Bobby Wood gave the visitors a 2-0 halftime cushion that night, only for Atlanta to storm back and take a 3-2 lead in the late stages. Gil popped up again in stoppage time, however, bagging an equalizer and becoming the third player in MLS history to score in both the first minute and 90th minute or later of a match.

While the Revs remain in search of their first point in league play, they continued their dominant run in the Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday night with a resounding 4-0 win over LD Alajuelense in the first leg of the Round of 16. Tomás Chancalay is joint top scorer in the tournament with four goals in three appearances - including a brace in the midweek win - and the Revs have outscored their opponents 8-0 through three games. They'll now be aiming to carry that form into MLS action, having suffered losses to D.C. United and Toronto FC to open the campaign.

While the Revs are in the midst of playing eight games in 26 days, Atlanta will enter the weekend well rested having played just one competitive match, a 1-0 road loss to the defending MLS Cup champion Columbus Crew on opening weekend. Saturday night will mark the Five Stripes' home opener, and they'll be looking to build off a 10-3-4 record at Mercedes-Benz Stadium last year that helped them finish sixth in the Eastern Conference, four points back of the fifth-place Revs.

A fourth straight midweek match will see the Revs travel to Costa Rica for their second-leg encounter with LD Alajuelense in the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 on Thursday night (March 14, 8 p.m. ET), before returning home for a meeting with defending Supporters' Shield champions FC Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium (March 17, 2 p.m. ET).

Overall Record vs. Atlanta: 4-5-4
Away Record vs. Atlanta: 1-4-2

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 2, Atlanta 1 (July 12, 2023)

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Saturday night the Revs will wear their "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform once again for the 2024 MLS season.

The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
