RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK CITY FC

The New England Revolution will visit New York City FC for an Eastern Conference battle on Saturday evening at Red Bull Arena. It will be the 17th overall meeting in this series since NYCFC joined the league as an expansion side in 2015.
The Revs and NYCFC squared off three times in 2020, splitting the series 1-1-1. New England's win came in the most recent meeting last October at Yankee Stadium, where goals from Teal Bunbury and Lee Nguyen lifted the Revs to a 2-1 win.

Prior to the international break New York City FC came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Los Angeles FC at Banc of California Stadium, with goals from Jesús Medina and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi lifting the 10-man visitors to victory. NYCFC is 3-2-2 through seven matches, with one game in hand on the Revs, sitting at fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, New England entered the international break on a three-game winning streak after securing a 1-0 victory at FC Cincinnati thanks to a 70th-minute header by Adam Buksa. The Revs maintain their reign at No. 1 in the East, going 5-1-2 (17 points) to start the 2021 campaign.
As New England rides their momentum to play at New York City FC, this will be a game that you don't want to miss.

Overall Record vs. NYCFC: 7-5-4
Away Record vs. NYCFC: 3-3-2

JUNETEENTH

Juneteenth, celebrated annually on June 19, commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States. Although the Emancipation Proclamation made effective by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863, declared that all persons held as slaves be freed, slavery persisted through the course of the Civil War. It was not until two-and-a-half years later, on June 19, 1865, when Union soldiers landed in Galveston, Texas and declared the war to be over, that all of those enslaved became free.

As part of the League's continued efforts to educate our community, celebrate members of our ecosystem and foster more inclusive equitable communities, various initiatives will be conducted on and off thee field throughout the weekend of June 18-20 to honor a longstanding holiday in the Black community, Juneteenth.

All Revolution players will wear a special Juneteenth design MLS number font on June 19 at NYCFC. These jerseys will be auctioned off post-match to raise funds, with all proceeds going to local Black charities/organizations. The Revolution and their respective BPC members have chosen MBK617 as their designated charity.

Break out “The Fort" Community Kit!

The Revs will be sporting their sleek new kits, which take inspiration from the block work of American Revolution Era war forts in the New England area. This kit also pays homage to The Fort – the club’s dedicated supporters’ sections at Gillette Stadium – and features a fort-inspired blocked white shirt with a monochromatic Revolution logo, white shorts, and sky blue socks.
