FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (October 25, 2023) – New England Revolution Homegrown defender/midfielder Peyton Miller (2007 – Unionville, Conn.) has been called up to the U.S. Under-17 Men’s Youth National Team for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia. The tournament kicks off on Sunday, November 12 when the U.S. takes on Korea Republic at 8 a.m. ET.

Miller, 15, will be the second youngest player on the United States roster at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. This marks his sixth appearance with the U.S. Youth National Team, and his third selection to the Under-17 squad. The Unionville, Conn. native most recently appeared with the U-17s at the Václav Ježek Cup in the Czech Republic in September. Miller made his first U-17 appearance at a training camp in April 2023 following two previous call-ups with the U-16s and one with the Under-15 side in 2022.

The versatile outside back and midfielder became the youngest Homegrown Player signing in Revolution history on June 12, 2023 after excelling in the club’s pro player pathway. Miller is the youngest of three teenage Homegrown Player signings set to join New England’s MLS roster in January 2024. Miller spent the 2023 season playing primarily with Revolution II in MLS NEXT Pro, tallying three goals and three assists across 25 appearances, including the playoffs. Miller also tallied the game-tying goal in this summer’s MLS NEXT Cup Final with the Revolution Academy Under-19s, helping secure the team’s second consecutive national championship.

This marks the Stars and Stripes’ record 18th appearance at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. In the past, 38 players who featured in the tournament have gone on to represent the senior U.S. Men’s National Team, with 10 on the roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

After taking on Korea Republic, the U.S. will continue Group E action, facing Burkina Faso on Wednesday, Nov. 15 (5 a.m. ET) and finishes the group stage vs. France on Saturday, Nov. 18 (8 a.m. ET). All three matches will be played at Jakarta International Stadium in Jakarta and shown on FOX Sports and Telemundo platforms.

The Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs begin tonight with two Wild Card Games, before the New England Revolution (No. 5) visit the Philadelphia Union (No. 4) on Saturday, Oct. 28 for the opening match of the best-of-three Round One. The Revolution’s first playoff match kicks off at 5:00 p.m. ET from Subaru Park in Chester, Penn. and is available to watch free on Apple TV in English and Spanish. Listen on the radio via 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM), SiriusXM FC, and 1260 AM Nossa Radio in Portuguese.
