FOX Sports to broadcast “Final Whistle on Hate” match between New England Revolution and Chelsea FC

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – FOX Sports will serve as the official broadcaster for the “Final Whistle on Hate” friendly between the New England Revolution and England’s Chelsea FC, a match aimed at combatting global antisemitism and discrimination. The special event will air on FS1 Wednesday, May 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET, with broadcasters John Strong,Stu Holden, and Katie Witham on-hand calling the action from Gillette Stadium.


The Final Whistle on Hate acknowledges the ongoing rise of hate crimes around the world, with the Revolution and Chelsea working together to harness the power of sport and bring people together to tackle prejudice in all forms. In addition to $1 million donations from each club’s owners, all proceeds from the match are dedicated to initiatives combatting antisemitism and all hate crimes. The match’s beneficiaries include the World Jewish Congress, the Tree of Life synagogue, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Holocaust Educational Trust, with more still to be named.

The New England Revolution and Chelsea FC are teaming up to play a charity match for the “Final Whistle on Hate” at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, May 15. Kicking off at 8:00 p.m. ET on FS1, the match will be played against a backdrop of ongoing antisemitism and discrimination around the world, with all proceeds from the match being dedicated to initiatives to combat antisemitism and all hate crimes. The initial idea for the match was developed by club owners Roman Abramovich and Robert Kraft in light of a global rise in antisemitic activity. The match’s primary beneficiaries will include the World Jewish Congress, the Tree of Life synagogue, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Holocaust Educational Trust.
