FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The countdown to the 2019 MLS season is on, and the path to kickoff will be action-packed.

That’s right – we're less than two months away from the first kick when regular-season games begin, which means teams are gearing up quickly. Preseason camp officially starts for the Revs on January 21, and this Friday, January 11, brings exciting change for the whole league as everyone gathers in Chicago for the 20th annual MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas.

We will have full coverage from Chicago’s McCormick Place – including interviews with General Manager Michael Burns, head coach Brad Friedel and Revolution draft picks.

Can’t wait until the draft? We’ve got everything you need to know leading up to the big day here.

When and where can I watch MLS SuperDraft 2019 presented by adidas?

The first two rounds of MLS SuperDraft 2019 presented by adidas will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, January 11 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

Are you in the Chicago area on Friday? You can attend the SuperDraft free of charge, although space is limited. Otherwise, keep your eyes on the official New England Revolution Facebook and Twitter pages, as we will provide the MLSSoccer.com live stream on the day of the draft.

We will also provide complete coverage from a Revolution perspective throughout the day right here and on all of our social channels, including both written and video content from the draft floor.

Rounds three and four of the SuperDraft will be conducted via conference call at a later date.

Which picks do the Revolution currently hold?

As of Monday afternoon, New England hold the 9th overall pick (1st round), 11th overall pick (1st round), 33rd overall pick (2nd round), 57th overall pick (3rd round), and 81st overall pick (4th round).

New England obtained the 11th overall pick from the Vancouver Whitecaps as part of the Kei Kamara deal in December 2017, while the 9th pick, 33rd pick, 57th pick and the 81st pick are the Revs' natural selections.

Could the Revolution move up or down in the draft order?

Of course. Anything can happen before (and even during) Friday’s SuperDraft.

Burns provided a bit of insight into the Revolution's thought process ahead of the SuperDraft HERE, noting the success New England found in drafting Brandon Bye with the eighth overall selection in last year's SuperDraft.

Where can I find the full draft order?

The full draft order for MLS SuperDraft 2019 presented by adidas can be found HERE, including a tracker to follow live on Friday. The MLS newcomer and expansion side FC Cincinnati currently kicks off the draft by holding the top overall pick, while the San Jose Earthquakes have the second overall pick.

Who are the top prospects in this year’s SuperDraft?

MLSSoccer.com contributor Alicia Rodriguez has compiled the seven players that make up the 2019 Generation adidas class and the seniors who have officially signed with the league, while Armchair Analyst Matt Doyle’s mock draft version 1.0 can be found HERE.

Do these pieces tell the whole story? Absolutely not, but they will be able to give you a sense of which names might be called on Friday, and some background on each player.

As previously noted, last year the Revolution made Brandon Bye their top pick (8th overall) and he went on to make an impressive 24 appearances and 16 starts as a rookie.

Can the Revs snag another rookie who will make a first-year impact? Will they move any of their current picks? Only time will tell leading up to the highly-anticipated MLS SuperDraft 2019 presented by adidas on Friday.
