FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution return to action tonight against New York City FC, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The match airs locally on WSBK-TV38, myRITV, and CoziTV, as well as on the radio at 98.5 The Sports Hub and WBIX 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA. The match is also available on ESPN+ for out-of-market viewers.

  • The Revolution will start the night in a 4-2-3-1 with three changes in the Starting XI from the club’s most recent match at FC Cincinnati on May 29. Defender Jon Bell, midfielder Maciel, and forward Gustavo Bou start in place of Henry Kessler, Tajon Buchanan and Adam Buksa, respectively.
  • With an assist in tonight’s game, Carles Gilwill have registered an assist in four consecutive contests for the first time in his MLS career. The Spaniard leads MLS with five helpers and 48 chances created on the season.
  • Matt Turner, a native of nearby Park Ridge, New Jersey, is 2-2-2 in six career games played against New York City FC. His next win will be his 30th in MLS.
  • Revolution II graduates Maciel and Jon Bell appear together in New England’s Starting XI for the third time this season. Maciel has logged four appearances in central midfield, all of them starts. The 21-year-old Brazilian returns to the Starting XI for the first time since May 16. Bell has appeared in four consecutive matches, including three starts.
  • Bell starts in central defense alongside Andrew Farrell, with Brandon Bye and DeJuan Jones on the right and left flanks, respectively. The Revs’ defense carries a streak of 272 minutes without conceding a goal from open play into tonight’s contest, with two clean sheets in the last three games.
  • Bye is set to make his 85th career appearance in today’s match. The fourth-year outside back ranks among league leaders in headed shots (2nd - 8), while his 12 shots rank second among defenders.
  • Jones will suit up for his eighth start of the season and his 35th in MLS. The 23-year-old outside back leads the Revolution with 12 interceptions this season.
  • Farrell is one of three Revolution players to start and play every minute this season along with Carles Gil and Matt Turner. The ninth-year central defender is now two appearances shy of his 250th in regular season action, all with New England.
  • Gustavo Bou features in New England’s Starting XI for the sixth time this season. Bou has registered one goal and one assist in four career games played against New York City FC.
  • Arnór Traustason registers his eighth start in a Revolution uniform. The 28-year-old winger owns two assists over his first seven games played with New England.
  • Matt Polster continues to appear in every contest this season, starting all but one. Polster ranks second on the team in possession won (58) and tackles won (13).
  • New York native Tommy McNamara has also appeared in every match and makes his fourth start tonight. McNamara played four seasons with New York City FC from 2015-2018.

  • Adam Buksa, New England’s leader in goals (4), shots (29) and shots on goal (9), has two goals as a substitute this season. His three-game scoring streak is tied for the longest active streak in MLS and includes two game-winning goals.
  • Teal Bunbury owns a team-high three goals scored in 12 career appearances against New York City FC. The 12th-year forward is three appearances shy of his 300th in MLS regular season action.
  • Tajon Buchanan, collected the first four caps of his international career with the Canada Men's National Team during the June break. He has totaled 17 shots over eight appearances this season, including six starts. The 22-year-old ranks first in MLS in fouls won in the final third (13).
  • Edward Kizza continues to appear on New England’s matchday roster in every contest this season. The Revolution’s first-round selection in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, Kizza played a career-high 25 minutes off the bench in the team’s most recent match on May 29 at FC Cincinnati.
  • Henry Kessler, a New York City native, is available off the bench for the fourth time this season.
  • Emmanuel Boateng appears on the Revs’ bench for the sixth time in 2021 and is still in search of his Revs debut.
