Lineup Notes:

  • New England’s Starting XI features six changes from its most recent match, a 3-2 win on Oct. 14 at Montreal. Andrew Farrell, Henry Kessler, Scott Caldwell, Tommy McNamara, Lee Nguyen and Tajon Buchanan are back in the lineup, replacing Michael Mancienne, Antonio Delamea, Kelyn Rowe, Matt Polster, Diego Fagundez and Kekuta Manneh.
  • This marks the first time this four-man defensive combination has started a match together. Alexander Buttner and DeJuan Jones will once again start at left back and right back, respectively, while Andrew Farrell and Henry Kessler return in central defense after getting a rest on Wednesday against Montreal.
  • Teal Bunbury is the Revolution’s scoring leader in 2020 with six goals, but is still seeking his first goal at Gillette Stadium this season. Bunbury’s six away goals lead MLS, and his next tally will move him into a tie with Joe-Max Moore (41) for fifth on the club’s scoring list.
  • Both Bunbury and Lee Nguyen are making their 199th Revolution appearances in tonight’s match, tied for 10th in club history, as Bunbury also makes his 199thcareer MLS start. With one more appearance, they would become the 10th and 11th players to appear in 200 regular season games in a Revolution shirt.
  • Adam Buksa has played in every match this season and logs his 13th start of the season tonight. Buksa, who has four goals and two assists in his inaugural MLS campaign, registered one goal and one assist in last Wednesday’s 3-2 win over the Impact.
  • Tajon Buchanan, who also continues to appear in every match in 2020, makes his eighth start of the season. The second-year attacker scored his first professional goal in the clubs’ last encounter with Philadelphia on Sept. 12.
  • Scott Caldwell returns to the starting lineup for his 11th start in central midfield of the season. The Braintree, Mass. native is 141 minutes shy of eclipsing 15,000 minutes played for his regular season career.
  • Henry Kessler returns to the Starting XI to slot in alongside Farrell for his 18th appearance and 15th start of the season. The Rookie of the Year contender has appeared in all six of the club’s clean sheets and leads the team in clearances (65) and interceptions (24).
  • Andrew Farrell, who makes his 15th start of the season in tonight’s contest, has recorded full 90-minute shifts in 14 of his 15 appearances this season.
  • Alexander Büttner delivered the service on Teal Bunbury’s latest goal against Montreal and now ranks second on the team in assists (3) as he prepares to make his 13th appearance – and 11th start – tonight.
  • Matt Turner makes his 65th MLS start on Monday night and will look to improve on his career-high six shutouts in 2020. Turner owns a 7-4-6 record in 2020, one win shy of his career-best single-season total of eight victories. He is still in search of his first career win against the Union (0-4-1 in league play).
