RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK CITY FC

The New England Revolution will visit New York City FC for an Eastern Conference battle on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. It will be the 16th overall meeting in this series since NYCFC joined the league as an expansion side in 2015.

These two teams have already met twice in the last month-and-a-half, but this is the first time this year that they will square off at Yankee Stadium. The Revs are 0-1-1 in those previous two meetings at Gillette Stadium, falling once to NYCFC, 2-0, and then playing to a scoreless draw two weeks later.

NYCFC are heating up, going 7-1-2 in their last 10 games. Most recently NYCFC are coming off a 4-1 home win against D.C. United. Meanwhile New England is looking to bounce back from a tough 1-0 loss to Toronto, which snapped the Revs' four-game unbeaten run. New York City sits at 5th place in the East with 26 points, which is four points ahead of the 7th-place Revs. With a critical six-point swing on the line and an opportunity to lessen the gap in the standings between the two teams, this will be a must-see clash.

Overall Record vs. NYCFC: 6-5-4
Away Record vs. NYCFC: 2-3-2

Last Meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 0, NYCFC 0 (September 19. 2020)
Last Meeting at Yankee Stadium: NYCFC 2, Revs 1 (September 7, 2019)

MATCHDAY GUIDE | New England Revolution at New York City FC | October 11, 2020 -

On Sunday afternoon the Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look, as Major League Soccer and the Revs continue their milestone 25th season. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.

You can own "The Original" by picking one up at the Gillette Stadium ProShop, or by ordering online HERE.
