RECENT FORM VS. NYCFC

The New England Revolution will host New York City FC for the 15th overall meeting in this series since the expansion side joined the league in 2015.

These two teams have already seen each other once this month, when New York City FC defeated the Revs 2-0 at Gillette Stadium on September 2. Following this tough loss, Matt Polster said that it was a bit of a wake up call for the club and that they needed to dig deep to demonstrate the quality of this team. The group did just that in their next game, taking down the Chicago Fire 2-1 at Soldier Field.

Heading into this Saturday's clash New England will have a chip on their shoulder as they play New York City FC, looking to repay the visitors for the outcome of their most recent match.

NYCFC are coming to Foxborough on a five-game unbeaten run and are coming off a 2-1 win over FC Cincinnati at Red Bull Arena (their temporary home), while the Revs are coming off a heartbreaking 2-1 loss at the Philadelphia Union. As New England looks to bounce back while simultaneously snapping NYCFC's five-game unbeaten run, this will be a must-see clash.

Overall Record vs. NYCFC: 6-5-3
Home Record vs. NYCFC: 4-2-1

Last Meeting at Gillette Stadium: NYCFC 2, Revs 0 (September 2, 2020)
Last Meeting at Yankee Stadium: NYCFC 2, Revs 1 (September 7, 2019)

MATCHDAY GUIDE | New England Revolution vs. New York City FC | September 19, 2020 -

On Saturday afternoon the Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look, as Major League Soccer and the Revs continue their milestone 25th season. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.

You can own "The Original" by picking one up at the Gillette Stadium ProShop, or by ordering online HERE.
