NBC Sports Boston to re-air classic New England Revolution matches

Jermaine Jones and Thierry Henry

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution’s regional television partner, NBC Sports Boston, has partnered with Kraft Sports & Entertainment to re-air broadcasts of classic Revolution matches. The series kicks off with both legs of the 2014 MLS Eastern Conference Championship, beginning with the First Leg on Saturday, April 4 at 4:00 p.m. ET followed by the Second Leg on Saturday, April 11 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The first set of classic Revolution matches to re-air on NBC Sports Boston will relive one of the most exhilarating MLS Cup Playoffs battles in the club’s history, a two-leg aggregate victory against the New York Red Bulls that secured the Revolution’s fifth Eastern Conference title. Originally played on Nov. 23 and Nov. 29, 2014, the Jay Heaps-coached team saw its way through the series by an aggregate score of 4-3. Current Revs forward Teal Bunbury and Jermaine Jones contributed goals in the opening leg, while current NBC Sports Boston and Revolution TV analyst Charlie Davies tallied twice in front of a raucous Gillette Stadium crowd in the series-clinching second leg.

Please see below for the current schedule of Revolution matches set to re-air on NBC Sports Boston, which is currently in its 11th season as the club’s regional broadcast partner. Additional classic matches will be added to the NBC Sports Boston calendar for future weeks to continue providing fans with Revolution action during the ongoing MLS hiatus.
