RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK CITY FC

This will be the second and final meeting between the New England Revolution and New York City FC this regular season, with both September match-ups only three weeks apart.

Their most recent battle featured plenty of controversy as Revolution defender Antonio Delamea received a red card in the ninth minute, forcing the visitors to play down a man for over 80 minutes. The Revs held on to a 1-0 lead through the half thanks to a second-minute goal by forward Juan Fernando Caicedo. However, NYCFC equalized and then ultimately found a late winner when they converted a penalty deep into stoppage time.

The stakes have changed in the past three weeks, with even more on the line. The 7th-place Revs (42 points) have a chance to clinch their first postseason berth since 2015 in their home finale. Meanwhile, East-leading New York City FC (61 points) has an opportunity to lock up a first-round bye as the top seed in the East with a win or draw. It's a big game, no matter how you spin it.

This will, without a doubt, be a battle that you won't want to miss.

Overall Record vs. NYCFC: 5-4-3

"It's going to be fun. Obviously a great team coming in, New York City FC, who've already clinched their spot. But obviously at home in front of our fans, I think they're going to be really excited for this one, and their support's been great all year. I don't doubt that it'll change. But we're excited to be in front of our fans and hopefully clinch a playoff spot at home."

- Revolution defender Andrew Farrell

Thank you again to all of the incredible fans. The New England Revolution organization recognizes all that you do, and we would like to say thanks not only on Sunday, but for your ongoing and constant support.
