Red Bull Arena | Harrison, New Jersey

Predicted Weather: Mostly sunny | High 84 | Low 70

RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK RED BULLS

This will be the 74th regular-season meeting - and 85th meeting in all competitions - between the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls, whose rivalry goes all the way back to MLS' inaugural 1996 season.

These two sides have squared off twice so far in 2019, with the Revs victorious on both occasions.. First, New England picked up three points at Gillette Stadium in April, when Cristian Penilla scored off the bench to make the difference in the Revs' 1-0 victory. Since then these two teams also played in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at MSU Soccer Park, where the Revs came from behind to take down the Red Bulls in extra time, 3-2. Teal Bunbury found both the equalizer and extra-time game winner in that match, knocking the Red Bulls out of the tournament.

In regular-season play, home-field advantage has historically played a large role in recent years as the Revs have won five of the last six meetings in Foxborough, while the Red Bulls have been triumphant in nine of their 10 matchups at Red Bull Arena.

While recent regular-season history includes a mix of results for both sides, New England are unbeaten against the Red Bulls in their past five playoff meetings. This includes two wins and a draw at home, as well as an important victory at Red Bull Arena in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Championship in 2014, on New England's way to a 4-3 aggregate victory and trip to MLS Cup.

Overall Record vs. Red Bulls: 31-27-15
Home Record vs. Red Bulls: 23-6-7

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 1, Red Bulls 0 (April 20, 2019)
Last meeting at Red Bull Arena: Red Bulls 2, Revs 0 (July 21, 2018)

SEASON MEMBER ROAD TRIP

MATCHDAY GUIDE | New England Revolution at New York Red Bulls | August 17, 2019 -

There will be a flare of Foxborough at Red Bull Arena on Saturday night, as there are approximately 500 supporters making the trip down to Harrison, New Jersey, for this massive Eastern Conference showdown. As a Season Member, there is an opportunity to travel to select away matches with the club providing round-trip transportation from Gillette Stadium and a ticket. Having supporters on-site means the world to the Revs players, and they are looking forward to the extra boost they will provide them on Saturday.

"It's massive for the boys to see the fan support, and it gives us a boost on the pitch. It motivates us and we obviously want to win games for the fans as well as ourselves because they're supporting us throughout the whole year, and without them, we wouldn't be here, so it's massive to have traveling fans." - Michael Mancienne
