FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have loaned midfielder Isaac Angking to the Charlotte Independence of the USL Championship. The Revolution Academy product will be on loan for the remainder of the season, with the club retaining the right to recall him at any time.

Angking, 19, is in his second professional season after signing with the Revolution as the club's fourth ever Homegrown Player in January 2018. The Providence, R.I. native has made three career MLS appearances, earning his MLS debut as a substitute in a 1-0 win at New York City FC on Sept. 5, 2018. Angking also came off the bench in a 1-1 draw at LAFC on Sept. 15, 2018, as well as a 2-0 home win over Orlando City SC on Oct. 13, 2018.

Angking excelled in the Revolution Academy after joining the program before the 2013-14 season, quickly rising up the ranks from the Under-14s to the Under-19s. The midfielder totaled 81 appearances, 67 starts, 28 goals, and 18 assists with the Academy. He tallied 12 goals in 11 games with the Under-19s during the 2017-18 fall season, tying him for the sixth most goals among all U.S. Soccer Development Academy players in the U-18/19 age group. He has also represented the U.S. Youth National Teams at various levels, most recently at the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship.
