RECENT FORM VS. LOS ANGELES FC

This will be the first-ever match between the New England Revolution and Los Angeles FC, as 2018 is the inaugural season for the league’s most recent expansion side.

While this will be the initial meeting between the Revs and LAFC, there is recent history between these two teams. In May, they completed a trade that sent former Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen to Los Angeles FC for up to $950,000 in allocation money and a potential first-round SuperDraft pick for 2019 or 2020. Additionally, former Revs midfielder Benny Feilhaber (2011-2012) also plays for LAFC, after he was acquired from Sporting Kansas City ahead of the 2018 season.

To add to the mix, head coach Brad Friedel, assistant coach Mike Lapper, and midfielder Kelyn Rowe all attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and will be having a bit of a homecoming as they train at their alma mater on Friday prior to Saturday’s match.

As both teams look to make history at Banc of California Stadium this weekend, it will be a game that you won’t want to miss.

Overall Record vs. LAFC: 0-0-0 (First Meeting)
Away Record vs. LAFC: 0-0-0 (First Meeting)
