In the past three meetings between the Revs and Crew SC the home team has walked away with all three points. With one road win already under their belt this season, this will be another test for the Revs.
To add to the intrigue, Revolution head coach Brad Friedel is an Ohio native who played for Crew SC in 1996 and 1997 and also was a teammate of Columbus head coach Gregg Berhalter on the U.S. Men’s National Team. With a homecoming and matchup of two attack-minded teams, Friedel said that it will be "an entertaining encounter."
