Agudelo, Rowe and USMNT continue Gold Cup quest Wednesday night vs. Martinique

Juan Agudelo with U.S. National team (USMNT)

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Juan Agudelo and Kelyn Rowe both played a part in the U.S. National Team’s opening game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup – a 1-1 draw with Panama this past weekend – and now the New England Revolution duo hope to feature once again on Wednesday night against Martinique.

The tiny Caribbean island nation currently tops Group B following a 2-0 win over Nicaragua in their opening match. Coverage of the pivotal showdown between the USMNT and Martinique begins at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday night on FS1, UniMas and UDN.

Agudelo and Rowe both earned positive reviews following the draw with Panama. Rowe was a clear-cut winner on the day, capping a balanced performance with the assist on Dom Dwyer’s goal before coming off after 69 minutes. Agudelo featured as a second-half substitute and brought a spark to the U.S., playing both centrally as a target forward and out on the wing.

Head coach Bruce Arena has stated that he plans to make “several changes” to the U.S. National Team lineup for Wednesday night’s meeting with Martinique.
