FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe was voted MLS Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) after factoring into all three Revolution goals, scoring twice and adding one assist, in the club’s 3-1 win against the Montreal Impact on Saturday, Sept. 17.
This marks Rowe’s third MLS Player of the Week honor, each following one of his three career two-goal performances. The fifth-year Revolution midfielder last won the award in Week 4 of 2015 after scoring twice against San Jose on March 28. Rowe, 24, first earned the recognition in Week 26 of 2013, when he recorded his first career multi-goal outing in a 5-1 win over Philadelphia on Aug. 25.
The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio, and online media.
