This marks Rowe’s third MLS Player of the Week honor, each following one of his three career two-goal performances. The fifth-year Revolution midfielder last won the award in Week 4 of 2015 after scoring twice against San Jose on March 28. Rowe, 24, first earned the recognition in Week 26 of 2013, when he recorded his first career multi-goal outing in a 5-1 win over Philadelphia on Aug. 25.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio, and online media.
