At just 16 years old, Javaun Mussenden made a massive sacrifice on his quest to play professional soccer, moving away from friends and family in Georgia to join the New England Revolution's residency program in Massachusetts. Three years later, Mussenden is progressing through the club's Pro Player Pathway as a midfielder with Revolution II, and he joined host DJ Bean on this week's episode of The Soccer Show to discuss his journey with the Revs and his experiences with the United States at this past summer's Concacaf Under-20 Championship in Mexico.
CBS Sports analyst and Revolution broadcaster Charlie Davies also joined the show to recap Matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League and analyze the Ballon d'Or nominees, while Jeff Lemieux offered thoughts on the Revolution's dramatic win in New York City and Dániel Gazdag's immediate impact with New England.
