FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Major League Soccer announced today the lineup of home openers for the league’s 21st season, as well as the schedule of games available nationally across the U.S. and Canada on opening week. The Revolution will open their 2016 campaign at BBVA Compass Stadium against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, March 6. The following weekend, the Revs will host D.C. United at Gillette Stadium for the club’s home opener on Saturday, March 12. Then, on Sunday, March 20, the Revs will travel to Talen Energy Stadium for the Philadelphia Union’s home opener.


The complete regular-season schedule for the 2016 MLS campaign will be announced on Thursday, January 7.

In the season opener, the Revolution will travel to Houston to take on the Dynamo. The last time the two clubs met was at Gillette Stadium in a game twice delayed by weather. The Revs were able to overcome the inclement weather to claim a 2-0 victory. Following the season opener, the Revolution will open their home game slate with a rematch against D.C. United at Gillette Stadium. The club fell to D.C. 2-1 in the Knockout Round of the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs.
