Headline News: Power Rankings

Julian Cardillo of the Boston Globe provides news that Gillette Stadium has announced a Brazil-Portugal friendly on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. The major international match will mark Portugal’s first ever visit to Foxborough.

The Boston Globe highlights a recent partnership between the Revolution and Sovereign│Santander. The bank will donate $500 for every goal scored by the Revolution for the rest of the season and by each team participating in the CONCACAF Gold Cup to a number of different locally-based charities. Kicking off the initiative was an event on Monday at Camp Harborview.

MLSsoccer.com and Steve Davis of NBC Sports ProSoccerTalk provide their MLS power rankings heading into the upcoming weekend. Many believe the Revolution are poised to make a serious run if they can gain some momentum heading into Saturday’s match against the Earthquakes.
