How Acquired: Slyde wasn’t acquired. He was born to be with the Revs.
Description: A mischievous, yet compassionate mascot, Slyde is a fan favorite, who has been known for his trash-talking with other mascots, even outside of MLS. Although it doesn’t always appear in the box score, Slyde is an invaluable member of the club.
Before MLS: There was no before MLS. Slyde was born with the Revs and he will die with the Revs.
Personal: Slyde The Fox … graduated from the School of Hard Fox in 1996 … favorite professional soccer player is Luis “El Lobo” Fangoso … fan of all New England sports teams … enjoys hunting, fishing, dancing, winning, and playing video games (FIFA and Star Fox) … his favorites include: Slip n’ Slyde (game), Fantastic Mr. Fox (movie), Fox Mulder (TV character), Michael J. Fox (actor), Africa by Toto (song), and other mascots (he was strongly linked to the disappearance of Timber Joey and Talon better watch his back) … his pet peeves include: mascots outside of New England, road kill, and things that hibernate. Although his appearance has changed dramatically over the years, use of FGH (Fox Growth Hormone) has never been proven.
