WASHINGTON, D.C. – Wednesday night in D.C. belonged to New England – and especially to Alhassan Yusuf and Jack Harrison. Yusuf delivered the first hat trick of his MLS career, Harrison assisted all three goals, and for a Revolution side that has done most of its damage at home this season, they made Audi Field their house.
The Revolution claimed all three points with a 3-0 shutout win over D.C. United in the midweek visit to the nation’s capital, completing a season sweep over their fellow MLS original foe.
While one storyline is the Revs claiming just their second road win of 2026, it’s hard to ignore the duo that made it possible. Yusuf earned the hat trick, while Harrison logged three assists in just his third Revolution appearance. Harrison has now aided in all four goals scored since his debut.

“Very quickly we’ve started to get from Jack what we want to get, and we believe we can get those performances from Jack in the long term,” said head coach Marko Mitrović. “The cross came on two goals from Jack from the right. Then, we attacked the box on the left side. Yusuf was in both situations. That player on the weak side has to run in the box, and both of them did their job, but sometimes it’s not just about doing your job. You have to do that job at a high level, with high quality. Both of them just executed perfectly on all three goals.”
Yusuf’s barrage started in the 23rd minute when Harrison earned a secondary assist, sending a cross from the right side of the pitch to Peyton Miller. Miller, head-bandaged and all, headed a helper to the top of the six, where Yusuf came flying to snap down a header into the net.
The last time the Revs saw D.C. United, Yusuf was the difference in a 1-0 win at Gillette Stadium. This time, he was the difference again, and again, and again. Just over 20 minutes later, Harrison slotted another perfect cross, and Yusuf made it a double.
The duo put the nail in the coffin in the 66th minute when Harrison again served a ball that dipped over the backline to find the head of Yusuf, who logged his third.
“It all comes down to the way we played today. It was a really good team performance. We’ve had some good games, even though the result didn’t go our way in the last two games we played. Today, you can see the way we played – the gameplan and everything. I think everybody on the pitch got it right, and that’s why we got the result,” said Yusuf. “We got it right today. I was in the right place and got the goals.”
Goalkeeper Matt Turner earned his fifth clean sheet of the season – making a clutch save deep into the second half to secure the shutout – and 17-year-old Academy product Judah Siqueira made his MLS debut. The Revolution II midfielder came on in the 89th minute to get his first touches with the first team.

New England improved their away form to 2-5-2 as they return home to face New York City FC this Sunday afternoon in Foxborough. The match marks the final game at Gillette Stadium until September 19, as the Revs face the next four on the road.
