Shaka Hislop knows firsthand what it's like to represent your country at a FIFA World Cup, starting at goalkeeper and shutting out Sweden in an historic 0-0 draw as Trinidad and Tobago played its first-ever World Cup match in 2006. Hislop, now an analyst with ESPN, joined host DJ Bean on this week's episode of The Soccer Show to talk about that experience, and discuss favorites, dark horses, and potential breakout players in the 2026 edition of the tournament, set to kick off Thursday afternoon.
Revolution play-by-play man Brad Feldman also joined the show to recap Matt Turner's performance in a 45-minute showing against Senegal last weekend, while his broadcast partner and CBS Sports analyst Charlie Davies offered his takeaways from the USMNT's 3-2 win, and previewed Saturday afternoon's final pre-World Cup friendly against Germany.
