FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution put on another show at home on Saturday evening, earning their first clean sheet of 2026 and burying CF Montréal in a 3-0 victory. The win was New England’s second of the season, with both of their three‑point results coming at Gillette Stadium. It was an exciting night in Foxborough as three different players found the back of the net.
“I think today’s performance showed us that when those moments come in the game and we are strong defensively, we can still be dangerous with the ball, and we can still win the games,” said head coach Marko Mitrović, who was sent off with a red card in the 34th minute of the match for leaving his technical area while disputing a call. “You have to play the game from the first, until the last second on the field. If we execute all the actions well, every player, we can get a clean sheet defensively. Today I really was very happy with the positive defensive performance from the team, everyone from Dor [Turgeman] to Matt Turner and we got rewarded.”
The Revs were off to the races as soon as the whistle blew, with Luca Langoni netting his first goal of the season in just the sixth minute. It was the lone goal of the first half, which ended without Mitrović on the sidelines. Despite the dramatics, New England didn’t let up, with center back Mamadou Fofana scoring the first goal of his MLS career in the 77th minute off a free kick from Langoni.

It was another strong performance from the Argentine attacker, who now leads the league in assists with five through the Revs’ first five games. His six overall goal contributions also top the Revolution roster.
“He's growing game after game. He had several occasions today when he was running in behind. I still believe Luca can do more. He's opening his mind to how dangerous and how good he can be if he exposes his strength all the time. We’ve been working consistently now for almost three months on those small details in his game. I just believe that he's going to get even better and better, but I'm very happy with his performances so far,” said Mitrović.
Up 2–0, New England was feeling confident heading into the final minutes of the match, but it wasn’t enough for Mitrović’s squad, who made it three with a goal from youngster Peyton Miller. It was the second goal of the season for the 18‑year‑old and his second straight at home.
“We expected in our game preparation that those moments would happen for Peyton, and they happened in the last action of the game, but it could happen even before that. Peyton, going forward, is always dangerous. It doesn't matter if he's playing lower as a fullback, playing wingback, or wide-forward, and that's his strength,” Mitrović explained.
The Saturday night success was a spark as the Revs kicked off a three-game homestand in Foxborough that will carry them through the first half of April. With 11 goals in five games – nine of them under the lights at Gillette Stadium – New England will look to keep the wins rolling for the fans at home.

“In every action, we have to execute it the way it should be executed, and we work on that in practice. We don't just practice in training that our forwards are scoring goals, and that our defenders are stopping goals. Our main objective is to understand that wherever the ball is, and whoever is in possession of the ball, what we are doing as a team. It's not easy to instill that behavior. For example, if you are a right full back and now you are in a forward position, just act as a forward and finish that attack,” said Mitrović. “I think we are instilling that piece by piece. They are getting in that habit that in any given moment, there is an opportunity to score the goal and just do it. It's always great to score goals."
Next up, the Revolution will face D.C. United on April 11 at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET as the Revs look to keep up their good form at home.
