Revolution to unveil new secondary kit for 2015 MLS season on March 3

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution will celebrate the club’s 20th season of play in Major League Soccer by officially unveiling their secondary kit for the 2015 MLS season on Tuesday, March 3 at the House of Blues Boston (15 Lansdowne St., Boston, MA 02215). Doors open for the event, which will feature a number of the Revs modeling the club’s new uniform, at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning around 6:15 p.m. Players that are scheduled to be in attendance include Juan Agudelo, Diego Fagundez, Andrew Farrell, Lee Nguyen, Kelyn Rowe, Charlie Davies and others.

In addition to seeing the debut of the Revs’ new secondary kit, which will be on sale at the House of Blues once it has been formally unveiled, the event will allow fans to meet some of their favorite Revolution players ahead of the start of the 2015 season. Everyone in attendance will also have the chance to have their photo taken with the Revs’ 2014 Eastern Conference Championship trophy and season ticket holders will have the opportunity to showcase their favorite jersey from the Revs’ first 19 years of play in a special fashion show.


“This is always one of the most exciting times for our club as the unveiling of our new kit signals the culmination of more than a year’s worth of hard work on the look and design of our uniform, but also start of another season of Major League Soccer in New England,” Revolution president Brian Bilello said. “With this being our 20th season of play, we think we have come up with a kit that will look great out on the field and in that stands and that our fans will feel is representative of our club. Being able to finally unveil this kit to all of our fans at the House on Blues Boston on March 3 is something the entire club is looking forward to.”

Admission to the event is once again free and open to the public All fans who pre-registered for the event will be entered into a drawing to win a free 2015 secondary jersey from the Revolution (pre-registration is now closed). All fans who are under 21 years of age must have registered in advance through before February 20. Fans under the age of 21 who have not registered in advance will not be permitted to attend.


Following the kit unveil, the Revolution will host their annual Supporters’ Summit. Open only to registered members of the club’s official supports groups – the Midnight Riders and the Rebellion – the Supporters’ Summit is an open forum in which supporters can ask questions directly to club president Brian Bilello and general manager Michael Burns. “It is always exciting to have an opportunity like this to sit down with our supporters, discuss with them where we are and where we are going as a club and how we can include them in that process,” Bilello said. “The relationship between a soccer club and its supporters is unlike any other in the sports world and events like this only help to strengthen that bond.”


The Revolution will open the 2015 MLS season the following weekend on Sunday, March 8 when they travel to the Pacific Northwest to face Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field in a game that will be shown nationally on FOX Sports 1 starting at 9:30 p.m. ET. The club will play its home opener two weeks later at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 when they host the Montreal Impact at Gillette Stadium.
