FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have re-signed defender Brandon Bye to a three-year contract extension through the 2024 Major League Soccer season with an additional one-year club option.

“We are pleased to sign Brandon to a new contract with the Revolution. He has been a fixture in our first 11 over the past two seasons and continues to grow into his position,” said Revolution Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena. “I believe he can become one of the top right backs in MLS. We are excited to have Brandon as a part of our team for many years to come.”

Bye, 25, has totaled 105 appearances with five goals and eight assists in the MLS regular season since his arrival in 2018. The right back has added three appearances and one start in the postseason entering the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs. In 2021, the Portage, Mich. native logged 29 games played – and 29 starts – for the Revolution en route to the club’s first Supporters’ Shield title and a league-record 73 points. Bye’s 2,477 minutes played this season ranked fourth on the team.
