FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (February 9, 2024) – New England Revolution II have signed goalkeeper John David Gunn to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract ahead of the 2024 season. Gunn, 24, signs his first professional contract following stints at Biola University and the University of Memphis during his collegiate career.
The 2022 PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year joins Revolution II after collecting a 24-17-9 record at Biola, where Gunn logged over 4,600 minutes played from 2019 through 2022. The Panama City native also earned First Team All-PacWest, CSC Academic All-District, and Academic All-PacWest honors in helping guide Biola to its first PacWest Conference title in program history during his senior season. In 2023, Gunn went on to the University of Memphis as a graduate student where he recorded seven wins across nine starts.
After traveling to Bradenton, Fla. earlier this week, Revolution II will continue preseason training at IMG Academy before taking on Orlando City B on Saturday morning in their first of three closed-door preseason matches.
