Revolution II Sign Academy Goalkeeper Max Weinstein to Professional Contract

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution II has signed Revolution Academy goalkeeper Max Weinstein to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract ahead of the 2023 season. The Montpelier, Vermont native becomes Revolution II’s 17th professional signing of the upcoming season and the ninth player to ascend to Revolution II’s roster from Revolution Academy since 2020.

After participating in one of the club’s Elite Player Pathway camps, Weinstein joined the Revolution Academy in 2020 and was part of the U-19 MLS NEXT Cup Championship-winning team last summer. He started all five playoff matches, backstopping New England to its first MLS NEXT national title, while winning Goalkeeper of the Tournament honors after securing a clean sheet in the Final. The 18-year-old made his professional debut with New England’s second team on July 31, 2022 vs. Toronto FC II and went on to make 33 saves across eight MLS NEXT Pro starts in net.

Weinstein joins Esmir Bajraktarevic, Noel Buck, Brandonn Bueno, Malcolm Fry, Hikaru Fujiwara, Colby Quiñones, Dennis Ramirez, and Meny Silva as the ninth Revolution Academy player to sign his first professional contract with Revolution II since the team’s inaugural season in 2020.
