"Every time we have the opportunity to bring together our Revolution family, supporters, partners, and our great friends at Special Olympics, it makes for a truly special evening," said Revolution President Brian Bilello. "We are honored to work so closely with Special Olympics Massachusetts and all of the athletes involved with our Unified team, and Bowl for a Goal is just one of the many ways in which we have been able to bring our two organizations together. Thanks to our wonderful partners at Arbella Insurance, this event has continued to grow over the last three years and we look forward to another successful event."

Emceed by the voice of the Revolution, Brad Feldman, the event will feature a live performance by Massachusetts native and country music artist Timmy Brown (www.timmybrownmusic.com), who won the 2016 New England Country Music Award for Male Artist of the Year. Bowl for a Goal will also provide music from DJ Vanessa Salvucci, complimentary food and drinks, various activities for adults and children, and a silent auction and raffle.

“Arbella is a proud, longstanding partner of Special Olympics Massachusetts and we’re thrilled to be involved in the Bowl for a Goal event for the third year in a row,” said Gayle O’Connell, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at the Arbella Insurance Group. “SOMA does so much for local children and young adults with intellectual disabilities and our employees are honored to participate in the many athletic competitions taking place throughout the year. Each event brings so much joy to the athletes and their families.”

The silent auction and raffle feature a diverse collection of exclusive memorabilia, including the following:

  • Signed Revolution jerseys from Metallica, U2, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, and more
  • Boston sports memorabilia including signed Revs, Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics jerseys
  • A customized New England Revolution Xbox One with games
  • One-of-a-kind experiences including game and concert ticket packages

In each of the last two years, the Revolution raised over $60,000 for Special Olympics through Bowl for a Goal, though the relationship with the organization extends well beyond the annual fundraising event. The two organizations have once again teamed up for a full summer of events aimed to promote an environment of inclusivity and friendly competition through the power of sports.

"We are so excited for another great event with the New England Revolution and their incredible fans, partners, and supporters," said Mary Beth McMahon, President and CEO of Special Olympics Massachusetts. "Bowl for a Goal is one of the many ways the Revolution go above and beyond to help us build communities of respect, inclusion, and opportunity for all through the power of sports. Thanks to the Revolution, as well as the leadership of Arbella Insurance, Bowl for a Goal will most certainly be a huge success."

The Revolution field a Special Olympics Unified team, which sees athletes with and without intellectual disabilities sign contracts with the club, train with professional soccer players, and play in two Unified matches – one home and one away – against the Chicago Fire's Unified squad. On May 23, the athletes met with Head Coach Jay Heaps and their new teammates and received their authentic Revolution kits. The first Unified match took place at Gillette Stadium on June 17, with the second match slated for August 5 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill.
