Revolution Headlines: September 28

Jermaine Jones vs. Philadelphia Union

Happy Monday guys! Seems kind of rude for me to say that, because I’m sure a lot of you are at work thinking you’d rather be back in your bed or doing really anything else. However, I’m here with some headlines to hopefully distract you a little from the horror that is Monday.

Andre Blake was a brick wall Saturday nightduring the Revs 1-1 draw against Philadelphia. Brad Feldman and Paul Mariner break down his excellent play, ten saves in all. It’s true he was magnificent, unfortunately.

Andre Blake was so magnificent he left a Revs fan with his mouth hanging wide open. Said photo was given the internet meme treatment and inspired the caption “Andre Blake had me like…wicked awesome save.” It was tweeted out by the Union’s official twitter account. We get it guys, people in Massachusetts say “wicked.”

The Revs fans unveiled an unbelievabletifo depicting Jermaine Jones as Indiana Jones on a “crusade” for the cup. The tifo was gold themed as part of childhood cancer awareness month. Fingers crossed this crusade is successful.

Four Revs players were named to the league’s 24-Under-24 list. Diego Fagundez, Kelyn Rowe, Juan Agudelo and Andrew Farrell all made the cut. The Revolution have the most players of any team on the list. How do you like them apples?

Coffield out.
