Revolution headlines: February 22

Headline News - Andrew Farrell

She’s baaaaaaack! I know you’ve all missed my charm and sharp wit and with the season almost upon us I am once again here to give you your daily dose of headlines.

Without further ado…

Teal Bunburywas the lone scorer for the Revs in a 1-1 draw on Saturday night against his former team, Sporting Kansas City. Two games and two ties for the Revolution thus far in the Desert Diamond Cup and they’re back in action Wednesday night against the Dynamo at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The stage has been set for the 2016 Copa America Centenario and the USMNT has a tough road ahead of them. Group A has been lovingly deemed “The Group of Death” (fun stuff, you guys!) with the USA, Columbia, Costa Rica and Paraguay teams. Gillette Stadium will host the matches between Brazil and Peru and Chile versus Bolivia.

Gershon Koffie is settling in with his new team and most importantly, staying focused. Koffie told the media that he spoke to Jay Heaps and told him, “I’m here to work, I’m here to deliver.” The Whitecaps are the only team Koffie has played for in MLS; so while it’s a big move for him, he isn’t letting that effect his mentality.

Get all your highlights here from the 1-1 draw between the Revs and Sporting Kansas City. You can hear the lovely voice of Jeff Lemieux as color analyst.

That’s it for today, love ya mean it.
