Matchups set at Gillette Stadium for historic 2016 Copa America Centenario

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. Gillette Stadium will host two of the world’s top six teams in first round match-ups during the Copa America Centenario, a once-in-a-lifetime tournament, this June.


The first match-up features Group D teams Chile vs. Bolivia on Friday, June 10. Two days later, on Sunday, June 12, Brazil will face Peru in Group B’s final group stage match. 


Chile is currently the world’s No. 5 ranked team in the FIFA rankings, while Brazil is the No. 6 team. Peru is No. 43, and Bolivia is No. 72.


Gillette Stadium will also host a Quarterfinal match on Saturday, June 18, which will feature Group D’s top team against the second-place from Group C. In addition to Chile and Bolivia, Group D includes Argentina – the world’s No. 2 ranked team – and Panama. Group C includes Mexico, Uruguay, Jamaica and Venezuela.


The groups and full match schedule were set for the 2016 Copa America Centenario after the Official Draw was conducted at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City Sunday night. The entire tournament will take place June 3-26 across 10 cities in the United States.

  • Friday, June 10: Chile vs. Bolivia in a Group D match
