Revolution complete trade with San Jose Earthquakes; move up in allocation ranking

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution and the San Jose Earthquakes have agreed to a trade, the clubs announced today. New England receives the second spot in the allocation rankings from San Jose in exchange for the fifth spot and $175,000 of General Allocation Money (GAM). In January 2018, New England will also receive either $175,000 in Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) or $100,000 in GAM and $75,000 in TAM from San Jose.


This agreement occurs ahead of Major League Soccer's Secondary Transfer Window, which opens on Monday, July 10 and remains open through Wednesday, August 9.


TRANSACTION: New England Revolution trade the fifth spot in the allocation rankings and $175,000 of General Allocation Money for San Jose Earthquakes' second spot in the allocation rankings and either $175,000 in Targeted Allocation Money or $100,000 in Gam and $75,000 in TAM to be received in January 2018.
