Revolution announce partnership with Shaw’s

Shaw's Family of the Match

FOXBOROUGH, MA – The New England Revolution are proud to announce a new partnership with Shaw’s, one of the most prominent supermarket chains in the New England region. Shaw’s has nearly 130 stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Future features of the partnership include the “Shaw’s Family of the Match,” in which families will be able to enter online for home matches to win a VIP match day experience.  This contest will launch on June 17 for a chance to attend the match on June 26 and is set to run throughout the regular season. Winners will receive four match tickets, four pre-match field passes, a feature on the Gillette Stadium video board at halftime, as well as a Shaw’s Prize Pack.

“We’re proud to partner with a brand like Shaw’s that has such strong ties to New England families,” Revolution President Brian Bilello said. “We look forward to teaming up with them to bring the New England community even more opportunities to engage with our club.”

In addition, Shaw’s will be the official sponsor of a 4v4 Cup at Gillette Stadium. The local youth tournament will be played all day on Saturday, August 3 ahead of the Revolution’s matchup with Los Angeles FC, which will be presented by Shaw’s.

“We are proud to announce our new collaboration with the New England Revolution,” said Michelle Larson, Shaw’s President.  “Similar to Shaw’s, they are a community and family focused organization and we look forward to partnering with them on exciting promotions, in-store activities and charitable initiatives.”

As part of the partnership, Shaw’s will take the Revolution’s Homegrown Players on tour, hosting events on-site at Shaw’s Supermarkets across New England in the players’ hometowns. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the Revolution players, take photos, receive autographs, and participate in fun activities during the Tour stops. The Homegrown Player Tour will kick off in July at the Shaw’s Braintree location featuring midfielder Scott Caldwell. Specific event details and additional tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Additionally, Shaw’s and the Revolution will collaborate to host several soccer clinics and fun-filled events in local communities that will feature appearances from players, coaches, and the club mascot.

The Revolution will return to action on Wednesday, June 19 for a Round of 16 match in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against Orlando City SC (7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+). The club will then continue the 24th Major League Soccer season with a home match on Wednesday, June 26 against the Philadelphia Union.
