Revolution Academy midfielder Jack Panayotou has been called up to the United States Under-19 Men's Youth National Team for a pair of friendlies against England and Norway in Marbella, Spain. This marks the Cambridge, Mass native’s first national team call up.

Panayotou, 17, first joined the Revolution Academy in 2019 and made his professional debut with the club’s MLS NEXT Pro side on April 3, 2022. The midfielder has since made six appearances and notched the fourth brace in team history on April 17 in a comeback victory against FC Cincinnati 2.

The U.S. Under-19 Men’s Youth National Team will face England on June 6 and Norway on June 9 at the Marbella Football Center’s Dama de Noche. Panayotou joins a group of 20 players called up by U-19 USMYNT head coach Marko Mitrović, all of whom are eligible for this summer’s 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship in Honduras. Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004, including Panayotou, are age-eligible for the 2022-23 U-19 MYNT cycle.
