FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (9-8-6, 33 pts.) extended the club's MLS-best unbeaten run to 11 games with a 4-1 win vs. Orlando City SC (7-11-5, 26 pts.) before a crowd of 19,043 at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening. The 11-game unbeaten run matches the longest undefeated streak in club history, leaving the Revolution one result shy of setting a new club record and matching New York City FC for the longest unbeaten run by any MLS team in 2019.

Newcomer Gustavo Bou opened the scoring in the third minute to match the club's quickest goal of the season and register his second goal through three MLS appearances. The Revolution added three more goals on the other side of halftime, with Cristian Penilla scoring the game-winning goal in the 47^th minute, Carles Gil converting a penalty kick in the 60^th, and Diego Fagundez adding a tally from distance in the 75^th minute – moving him into sole possession of second place on the club's all-time goal-scoring chart. Orlando’s Tesho Akindele pulled one back for the visitors the 77^th minute, which snapped New England's two-game shutout streak. 

Bou, acquired by the Revolution on July 10 via transfer from Liga MX side Club Tijuana, has collected two goals and one assist through his first three MLS appearances. His nine shots in tonight's contest are tied for the most by any MLS player in a single game this season. Fellow newcomer Carles Gil registered both a goal and an assist for the third straight game, and scored in a fourth straight match. He now owns eight goals and nine assists on the year, both team highs. Only one MLS newcomer – Toronto FC's Alejandro Pozuelo – has more combined goals and assists this season.

New England returns to action on Saturday, Aug. 3 when the club hosts Supporters' Shield-leading Los Angeles FC at Gillette Stadium for the first time in franchise history. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and in Portuguese on 1260 AM Nossa Radio.

Revolution's Unbeaten Streak Reaches 11 Games

• New England extended its league-best unbeaten streak, tying a club record of 11 games with tonight's win. New England also recorded an 11-game undefeated run in 2005.
• With a result against Los Angeles FC next weekend, the Revolution will set the club’s new unbeaten streak record of 12 games.
• The Revs are unbeaten in the club’s last six home games dating back to May 11, having posted a 4-0-2 record and plus-10 goal differential in those matches at Gillette Stadium.

Bou Scores Second Goal in Three Games

• Forward Gustavo Bou, who was acquired by the Revolution via transfer from Liga MX side Tijuana on July 10, scored a third-minute goal in tonight's contest. He has been involved in three goals in his first three MLS appearances -- all starts -- with two goals and one assist.
• Bou paced the team with nine shots, which is tied for the most by any MLS player in a single game this season.
• The 29-year-old Argentine arrives in New England with 12 years of experience across Argentina, Mexico, and Ecuador, where he recorded 120 combined goals and assists with top-flight clubs including River Plate and Racing Club.

Gil Scores in Fourth Straight, Adds Ninth Assist

• Midfielder Carles Gil submitted both a goal and an assist for the third consecutive game. He has now scored in four straight league games, raising his team-high totals to eight goals and nine assists.
• Gil converted a 60^th-minute penalty kick after Orlando’s Sebastián Méndez committed a hand ball in the penalty area, confirmed by video review, giving him eight tallies on the season and four in as many games. He has four goals and seven assists in his last eight games.
• The 26-year-old's assist on Diego Fagundez’s goal marked his ninth helper of the season, which ties him for fourth most in MLS.
• Gil now ranks second among all MLS newcomers in combined goals and assists with 17, trailing only Toronto FC's Alejandro Pozuelo's 18.

Penilla Tallies Fourth Goal of 2019

• Forward Cristian Penilla scored his fourth goal of the season in the 47^th minute, marking his third straight game with either a goal or an assist.
• Penilla's four goals are tied for third most among Revolution players this season. He also owns six assists across 19 appearances on the year, second most on the team.
• Penilla has recorded four of his six assists in the team’s last five games, all of which have fallen under the team’s 11-game unbeaten streak.

Castillo Registers Fourth Assist of the Season

• Defender Edgar Castillo recorded his fourth assist on the season and ninth of his MLS career after supporting Gustavo Bou on his 3^rd-minute strike.
• Castillo is one assist shy of matching his assists total of five from 2018 – his debut MLS campaign with the Colorado Rapids.

Fagundez Claims 2^nd Place on Revs’ All-Time Scoring List

• Midfielder Diego Fagundez tallied his second goal of the season and the 52^nd of his MLS regular season career, all coming with New England.
• The Homegrown Player now owns the 2^nd most goals in Revolution history, surpassing Lee Nguyen (51) with tonight’s strike from distance. Nguyen will make his return to Gillette Stadium with Los Angeles FC next Saturday.
• With six more assists, Fagundez (44) would become the first member of the Revs’ 50-goal and 50-assist club.

Turner Posts Sixth Win in 10^th Start

• Goalkeeper Matt Turner made his 10^th start of the season in net tonight, making a career-high seven saves for a second consecutive match after also making seven stops at Cincinnati.
• Turner’s 2019 record stands at 6-1-2 with a 1.10 goals against average, while his career record moves to 14-11-11 in 37 career MLS starts.
