NEW YORK CITY (August 21, 2026) – New England Revolution II (11-6-6; 42 pts.) visit Eastern Conference rival New York City FC II (10-8-4; 36 pts.) on Saturday evening at Icahn Stadium. Saturday's match kicks off at 5:00 p.m. ET and streams on MLSNEXTPro.com and One Football, with Josh Lill on the call.

New England opened its two-match road swing with a midweek battle at Inter Miami CF II, falling 4-2 at Nu Stadium. The hosts sprinted their way to a rapid 3-0 lead in the opening half, forcing New England into one of its largest deficits of the season. Revolution II made it a one-goal game with tallies from forward/winger Myles Morgan and forward Matthew Jean Baptiste, but Miami closed the scoring in the 72nd minute to seal the victory.

New England's potent attack produced another strong performance in the midweek contest, finishing Wednesday's match against Miami with 22 shot attempts, including six shots on target. Revolution II rank second in MLS NEXT Pro this season in total shot attempts (355) and sixth in shots on goal (133). New England also ranks among league leaders in corner kicks (3rd- 134), fouls won (4th- 317) and long ball percentage (5th- 52.35).

Jean Baptiste, a 16-year-old Revolution Academy product, continues to carve his role as a consistent contributor within New England's attack. In his debut professional season, Jean Baptiste has netted five goals with one assist over 10 games played, including eight starts. The New Jersey native has reached the scoresheet in five of the last seven games. Jean Baptiste's five goals scored are tied for second-most on the team.

Also in the attack, Morgan, New England's leading scorer with 12 tallies on the season, holds his position as one of the top strikers in MLS NEXT Pro. The 21-year-old enters this weekend's match tied for third in the league's golden boot race, while ranking second in shots (76) and tied for fifth in shots on goal (30). Morgan is one goal shy of matching former Revolution II forward Liam Butts (13) for the program's single-season goals scored record, set in 2025.

Morgan, who has scored in four consecutive matches, and midfielder Cristiano Oliveira each led New England's attack on Wednesday with a game-high six shot attempts. An 18-year-old Homegrown Player from Somerville, Mass., Oliveira collected his team-best seventh assist of the season in the midweek tilt. Oliveira, one appearance shy of his 50th in MLS NEXT Pro, has recorded three goal contributions (1G, 2A) over the last two games.

Wednesday's match featured nine Revolution Academy graduates, including the professional debuts of goalkeeper Zach LaPierre and attacking midfielder Benjamin Quirino, a Boston native. LaPierre, a United States youth international, became the youngest player in club history to start or appear in goal at 15 years, 193 days old. A total of 57 Revolution Academy products have now suited up for their professional debuts with Revolution II.

Saturday's match is the third and final regular season encounter between New England and New York City FC II in 2026. Revolution II have won both of the previous games, logging a 3-0 shutout win in the most recent meeting between the two sides on July 23 at Gillette Stadium. New York City FC II owns a 6-2-3 home record this season, including a 5-0 rout over FC Cincinnati 2 on Wednesday. Saturday's hosts have collected two shutout wins over their last three games.
