FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (December 13, 2023) – The Revolution Academy’s U-15, U-17, and U-19 teams closed out the fall slate of the 2023-24 MLS NEXT season last week competing in MLS NEXT Fest in Phoenix, AZ. 

The U-17s went 2-1-0 across their three matches in Arizona, opening NEXT Fest with a comeback 2-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The squad fell to LAFC in their second match before closing out the fall season with a 1-0 win over Austin FC. Edwin Flores (2007 – Wilmington, D.E.) notched the game-winner with a 65th minute penalty kick. The U-17s own a 10-2-4 record entering the spring after tallying 41 goals in the fall. Cristiano Oliveira (2008 – Somerville, Mass.) leads his team with 12 on the season as the 17s sit in third place in MLS NEXT Flex.

New England’s U-15s opened MLS NEXT Fest action with a 4-1 win over St. Louis CITY with Aarin Prajapai (2009- Boston, Mass.) and Josh Macedo (2009 – Santa Clarita, Calif.) both notching braces in the victory. The squad fell in its second match to FC Dallas, 3-0. Judah Siqueira (2009 – South Easton, Mass.) recorded one goal and two assists across three matches, tallying on a penalty kick in his team’s 3-2 loss to the Houston Dynamo on Sunday. The U-15s enter the break after earning a 10-4-1 record in the fall and are currently in fourth place in MLS NEXT Flex standings. Siqueira leads his team with nine goals on the year so far while Ryker Fauth (2009 – Milford, Mass.) and Reinner Fidelis (2009 – Peabody, Mass.) have collected four clean sheets in net.

The U-19s took on Chicago Fire FC, Minnesota United FC, and FC Dallas at MLS NEXT Fest, falling by scores of 2-1, 2-0, and 2-1, respectively. The U-19s closed out the regular season with an 8-3-1 record with 14 goal scorers finding the back of the net 31 times in the fall. The squad enters the break in second place in MLS NEXT Flex standings. 

The Revolution’s U-14s closed out fall in third place with an 11-3-2 record. Lucas Pereira (2010 – East Merrimack, N.H.) owns a team-leading 13 goals on the season with Brandon Velez (2010 – Concord, Mass.) close behind with 11 so far this season. With nine clean sheets and 85 goals scored, New England’s U-13s stand on top of their league standings after keeping a perfect 16-0-0 record through the first half of the 2023-24 season.
